PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- We are seeking 1 Neuro-hospitalist on an inpatient general consult service. This is a growth position – not replacement. (Internal medicine hospitalists manage the general and non-neurological care. Strokes are managed by the Stroke program.)
- Our ideal candidate would have experience with management of acute inpatient neurologic disorders.
- Able to read and interpret EEG’s required.
- We are building an integrated neuroscience model that includes neurology, neuropsychology, neuro-intervention, neurosurgery, and rehabilitative medicine.
- Advanced Thrombectomy Certified Stroke Center applying for Comprehensive Stroke certification.
- Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center is a 336-bed regional tertiary hospital. Inpatient rehab unit at Essentia Health Miller Dwan,is a 150-bed hospital. This includes a Neuroscience Unit at Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s Medical Center, comprised of a Neuro Trauma ICU, Neuro Step Down Unit along with general beds..
- Practice supported by a wide variety of specialty services. Procedures offered include state-of-the-art electroneurodiagnostics, Rehab Services and comprehensive CT and MRI services
- Anticipated work schedule: 7AM – 7PM, 7 days on 7 days off, for one week per month and 8 AM – 5 PM General Clinic Neurology 2 weeks per month.
REQUIREMENTS
- BC/BE in Neurology
- Comfortable with reading EEG
SALARY
- $366,591 Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
