Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in ourPre Op Assessment Clinic, you will be joining a team ofhealthcareprofessionals who are dedicated todeliverexcellent care to our patients. Youwillcareprovide careto patients that iscrafted specifically to individual patientneeds,andadministered by some of the most highly skilled and trained providers in the region.
What you will do in this role:
- You will oversee and direct the care of the surgical patient in all surgical specialties.
- You will be takingcallon a rotating schedule.
- You willbe responsible fordelivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning,implementationand evaluation.
- You willbe responsible fordirecting and coordinating all nursing care for the department specific patient populationin accordance withthe standards of nursing care and practice as defined by our hospital and the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- You will be collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- You will systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participation inquality of careactivities toinitiate, implement, and sustain process improvements.
- You will be collaborating with the patient, significantothersand health care providers in providing and advocating for patient care.
- You willmonitorthe patient’s progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- You will consider safety and cost effectiveness when delivering patient care.
- You will be participating in the improvement ofoperationalfunctions of the department.

- You will secure,administerand handle medication according to established guidelines.
- You willutilizecritical thinking andproblem solvingskills toidentify, interpret and accessappropriate resourcesin patient specific scenarios.
What qualifications you will need for this role:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure in the State ofKansasa Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- CurrentBLScertificationthroughthe American Heart Association
- ACLS
- PALS
- 1-3yearsof PACU, Surgical, Critical Care or Acute CareRN experience
