This Clinical Assistant will be responsible for:- Under the supervision of the registered nurse the Clinical Assistant (CA) will help provide basic bedside nursing care for complex stem cell transplant patients.
- In collaboration with the registered nurse, the CA is responsible for obtaining vital signs including oxygen saturation measurements, measuring intake and output, performing EKGs, and obtaining and labeling laboratory specimens; all while identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
- The CA may assist with transporting patients, stocking of supplies and equipment as needed.
- The CA role provides the opportunity to practice in a family centered environment.
To qualify, you must have:- 1-year CA experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
- A HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work within a team.
- The ability to work a schedule of 12 hour shifts, 50% day/night rotation, every third weekend
with holiday requirements.
