The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU – Zayed 9 East) at Johns Hopkins is an 18-bed unit with a diverse patient population receiving various types of surgeries in this ICU, including, Abdominal Transplant, GI Surgery, Trauma, Vascular Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine procedures and General Surgery. The SICU team is composed of a unit based multi-disciplinary team. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the SICU take great pride in providing high quality post-operative surgical care every day! Registered Nurse I – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (Zayed 9E) - Start date is 3/3/2025 for December 2024 new grad RNs. This position is for the new grad RN thatwill be automatically enrolled in a year-long accredited Nurse Residency Program (NRP).

Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- BSN/MSN strongly preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Tuition reimbursement - BSN/MSN matriculation required within one-year of hire and completion of degree within five-years of hire.
- Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
- CPR/BLS certification required. AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
- A minimum of 120 hours Practicum in an adult ICU required.
Responsibilities:
- All New Graduate Registered Nurses will be automatically enrolled in a year-long accredited Nurse Residency Program (NRP) to facilitate a successful transition into professional nursing practice.

Salary Range: Minimum 36.31 per hour - Maximum 56.16 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
