Job Summary

The Franchise Audit Supervisor will train, support, and mentor Franchise Auditors and Franchise Audit Interns. The Franchise Audit Supervisor will be a subject matter expert regarding SERVPRO royalty processes and policies. With their knowledge and experience, the Franchise Audit Supervisor will perform complex franchise royalty audits, and they will assist in providing royalty-related training and communications to SERVPRO franchisees. Additionally, the Franchise Audit Supervisor will support the execution of departmental projects, and they will support the development and maintenance of departmental policies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train new Franchise Auditors and Franchise Audit Interns to execute franchise royalty audits.
  • Coach and mentor Franchise Auditors and Franchise Audit Interns to support their continued professional development.
  • Provide ongoing oversight and support to Franchise Auditors and Franchise Audit Interns, including reviewing franchise royalty audit files to ensure that procedures and documentation comply with departmental standards.
  • Support issue resolution throughout the audit process, including communicating with franchisees and escalating issues to departmental and organizational leadership as necessary.
  • Identify trends within franchise royalty audit findings and evaluate whether they indicate a need for training and/or process improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding SERVPRO royalty processes and policies; and assist in providing royalty-related training and communications to SERVPRO franchisees.
  • Perform complex franchise royalty audits, including audits of multi-unit and multi-market SERVPRO franchisees.
  • Support creation and maintenance of departmental policies, process documents, and templates, and implement strategies to continuously improve such documentation.
  • Support royalty risk assessments and audit planning, including execution of rotational audit plan.
  • Support the Franchise Audit Manager with other departmental projects and initiatives, as needed.

Required Qualification (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Proven experience as an auditor
  • In-depth understanding of franchise auditing and accounting practices
  • Proficient in QuickBooks or other equivalent accounting software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Keen attention to detail and dependable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with other departments and franchisees.
  • Ability to understand and interpret legal documents such as franchise license agreements.
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate directly with SERVPRO franchisees, intercompany departments, and franchise audit team

Related Work Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an auditor.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with franchise royalty audits, with experience on the SERVPRO franchise audit team preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant subject is preferred.
  • CPA, CIA is considered a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Additional working hours required as needed to complete assignments and projects on schedule.
  • Minimal travel as required for business needs.
