Position Summary:

STARPLUS ENERGY is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics/Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our Procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing import logistics, from vendor selection to contract execution, while ensuring compliance with U.S. customs regulations and import duties. This role requires strong communication skills, as the Specialist will serve as the primary liaison with SDI HQ in Korea. The ability to verify invoices and manage cost controls is essential. Bilingual proficiency in Korean is a significant advantage. The candidate will be responsible for learning company purchasing procedures and policies and will interface closely with Inventory manager in maintaining a supply of inventory levels required for an effective company operation. Identify problems in group work and make an effort to improve or resolve them. When an emergency issue occurs, report it and work together with the relevant personnel to resolve the issue.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including Inland, Ocean, and Air transportation, with a primary focus on import logistics.
  • Handle vendor selection, contract negotiation, and management to secure the best terms and services.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and import duties for all inbound shipments.
  • Serve as the main communication channel with SDI HQ in Korea, ensuring smooth coordination and timely updates.
  • Verify invoices from logistics providers and vendors to ensure accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
  • Monitor and control logistics costs, timelines, and service levels, ensuring efficiency and alignment with operational goals.
  • Utilize SAP to manage logistics workflows, track shipments, and generate reports for management.
  • Prepare and analyze regular reports on logistics performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize supply chain operations, and support broader company objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to logistics activities, customs clearance, and financial transactions.

Basic:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing logistics for a global supply chain.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in English/Korean
  • Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access, or other data base applications
