The MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is a 120-bed full-service ANCC Magnet-recognized facility located in the historic enclave of Olney Maryland, situated nearly equally between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore Maryland, and is part of the 10-hospital MedStar Health system.
The 12-bed ICU admits a wide array of patient diagnoses ranging from neuro, cardiac, G.I., renal and vascular ailments, to post-operative procedures. As part of an American Heart Association Gold-Plus Certified Primary Stroke Center, the ICU also manages patients recovering from acute strokes including those who have received thrombolytic therapy. Nurses work 12-hour day or night shifts (non-rotating) and participate in self-scheduling. Average patient-to-nurse assignments are 2:1 with a dedicated charge nurse on each shift. ***PRN, night shift opportunity with a commitment of six shifts per six-week schedule including four weekend shifts. One holiday per year and one hard-to-staff shift per year ***
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Minimum of two years of ICU experience required
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
