Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer 5
Location: Onsite, 5 days a week in Raleigh, NC, or Mountain View, CA
Pay Rate: $80/hr. - $85/hr.
Contract Length: 6 to 18 months
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Design Engineer to provide FPGA debug support for firmware development activities in an ASIC prototyping project. The role may involve Verilog RTL development as needed. This is a hands-on, collaborative position requiring close teamwork with engineers to optimize debugging and testing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide FPGA debugging support for firmware development.
• Assist with design effort testing and debugging on the FPGA prototyping platform.
• Work closely with software developers to address issues and support debugging efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Skills and Qualifications
Top 3 Required Hard Skills
1. FPGA Programming with Verilog: Minimum of 5 years of experience.
2. Coding: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience.
3. Embedded Microprocessor Systems: Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Additional Skills
• Proficiency in FPGA design and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with Synopsys HAPS (highly preferred).
• Strong background in Verilog, C, and assembly languages.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a lab environment for hardware debugging.
Education and Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (required).
• Experience: 10+ years in hardware engineering, including extensive debugging experience.
