The Director of Supply Chain PMO is responsible for managing the project management office and leading a team to execute supply chain projects, collaborating with cross functional departments with the firm to ensure alignment with company objectives and strategies.
KEY RESPOSABILITIES
• Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the supply chain PMO team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. Promote cross functional work within other departments such as marketing, procurement, sales, operations and logistics.
• Project and Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of supply chain projects and programs. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Implement project management best practices and methodologies on projects no restrictive to: art work changes, new products, new process technologies for new developments, new recipes and new materials, new suppliers integration among other defined strategically for the business.
• Team Management: Handle a team comprising project and program managers Provide direction, support, performance review, coaching, feedback and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped to deliver high-quality results.
• Talent Development: Develop and nurture talent within the supply chain PMO team. Provide training, career development opportunities, and support to team members to help them achieve their full potential. Identify potential new member to the team within the organization and acting proactively on the hiring process of new talents.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enable correct allocation of resources to the different projects and initiatives, aligned project goals with the overall business objectives and ensure projects contribute to the company's strategic vision.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities and promote the implementation of initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance for each initiative of project being led by the PMO.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, R&D, operations, and senior management. Ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals with stakeholder expectations.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects. Develop contingency plans and ensure proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reporting and Analytics: Monitor and report on project performance, including key metrics and KPIs. Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on project status, risks, and achievements according to the defined cadence.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or engineering field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management software and methodologies such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• PMP or similar project management certification.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale supply chain projects and driving process improvements.
• Proven experience in cost control and financial forecasting for supply chain projects.
• Experience in handling project scope in collaboration with engineering and R&D teams is a plus.
