Registered Nurse (RN) Weekender- Cardiology Stepdown

The J7-2 Cardiology Stepdown Unit is one of three units that cares for interventional or PCI patients, those with angina and/or myocardial infarction, heart failure patients and arrhythmia patients needing medical therapy or EPS services, such as temporary or permanent pacemakers and ICD insertion, ablation or cardioversion. The patient population also includes pre-operative open-heart surgery for CAD, TAVR patients, aneurysms or faulty heart values and pulmonary hypertension with Veletri.
This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule.
A caregiver in this position worksweekends and one day/night from 7:00am – 7:30pm or 7:00pm – 7:30am.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
