JOB SUMMARY
The Director Leave & Time Off role involves overseeing all aspects of leave programs, including PTO, holidays, parental leave, disability, and more. Key responsibilities include shaping and communicating both short- and long-term strategies for these programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
This position requires leading large-scale change initiatives, focusing on stakeholder engagement, risk management, and operational excellence. Monitoring program performance and financial trends is essential to inform leadership and evolve policies effectively.
Additionally, this person must stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes is crucial for optimizing and ensuring compliance within the programs. This role will need to manage vendor relationships to enhance operational efficiency and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote leave programs and support overall well-being are also key components of this role.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
- 10+ years experience in designing and managing leave and benefits programs for complex organizations with a strong focus on innovative solutions, employee experience and financial management.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to optimize the use of all available resources and deliver on multiple priorities
- Skilled in stakeholder management, as well as proven ability to build and facilitate relationships and influence others at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Oversee all aspects of leave programs including PTO, Holidays, Parental Leave, Leave of Absences, Disability, Jury Duty, Bereavement Leave and Leave Sharing.
- Help shape and communicate short and long-term strategy, program design and goals.
- Lead large-scale change initiatives with a focus on internal and external stakeholder engagement, seamless integration, risk management and operational excellence.
- Monitor program performance, trends, and financials to evolve programs and policies and inform leadership.
- Proactively stay current on industry best practices, legislative changes, and periodic market evaluations, to ensure programs are optimized, compliant and to develop recommendations for change.
- Manage vendor relationships to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote leave programs, drive engagement, and support holistic well-being.
The salary range for this position is $157,700 to $191,200 annually.
