Job Description
General Manager
We, TownePlace Suites by Marriott - Estero/Fort Myers (Via Coconut Pt), managed by Essex Hotel Management, are seeking a DRIVEN General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and achieving operational excellence.
What will you do
Oversee all hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage functions.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Manage and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain operational standards.
Monitor expenses and control costs to ensure profitability.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost occupancy and revenue.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees.
Address guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolutions.
Conduct regular staff meetings to keep employees informed about policies, goals, and updates.
About you:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in hotel management, with proven leadership skills and experience in guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
