About the team:

Our media effectiveness client service team are experts in understanding the changing media landscape. They help organizations optimize their media campaigns, identify target audiences, and measure the impact of their marketing efforts. With a focus on cutting edge technologies, audience measurement, consumer targeting and in-depth intelligence into paid, owned and earned media. Their global coverage and local expertise enable clients to better understand media audiences and their relationships with brands to optimize investment.

Primary Objective

• Deliver high quality / high impact insights, provide right level of service, and optimize efficiency of delivery

Essential Responsibilities

• Professional maturity regarding internal and external communications, including, but not limited to: talent and peer feedback, confidentiality, office culture, business operations and similar items.

• Proven abilities to manage, mentor, and lead junior staff to ensure methodological standards, operations, and report insights are impactful and digestible to clients

• Ability to learn, understand, and communicate Kantar’s unique value proposition, products, and methodologies to our client and the general marketplace when needed.

• Develop overall project roadmap and timeline to deliver the agreed-upon scope within the available budget to provide the right level of service and optimize the efficiency of delivery without sacrificing of quality

• Adverting agency or consultancy experience preferred, but not required.

• Lead, drive, create, and present media research methodology, analysis and research to C-Suite clients as needed.

• Ability to support day-to-day management of all project-related activities and maintain progress against project roadmap/timeline

• Has a strong understanding of Media capabilities, solutions, and analytic methods and can articulate them or clients (and team)

• Assist project leadership with design of fit-for-purpose research & analytical approaches that will guide the development of strategy for clients’ brands

• Lead development of survey design, sample plan, analytic plan, weighting, analysis, and reporting for med-high complexity projects

learnings into ‘so what’ recommendations for clients (Honing critical and analytic thinking skills)

• Effectively utilize secondary research/information resources to round out analysis

• Lead project-related client conversations, facilitate decision-making, and translate decisions into clear next

steps

• Provides meaningful contributions to business development, with senior guidance as needed

• Oversees completion of quality checks throughout project to ensure accuracy, identifying, raising, and solving project issues proactively as they arise. Use vast knowledge of account/industry to logic check data/deliverables

• May own staff utilization metrics for one’s team to ensure appropriate staffing, account alignment, account efficiency, and servicing

• Contributes to initiatives/shares learnings that improve, automate, and streamline processes

• Provide feedback (manage up) to senior staff where opportunities to improve exist

Essential Knowledge & Experience

• 7+ years of market research experience, with at least 3 years of management and cross-functional experience.

• Knowledge of research methods

• Demonstrated experience performing custom research / analytics for multiple strategic research projects

simultaneously from design to analysis and reporting

• Proven experience consulting with and presenting insights and recommendations to clients

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to use logical reasoning and problem solving

• Can-do attitude with experience successfully managing complexity, is driven, takes initiative, demonstrates

ownership and can manage challenging situations

• Strong project management experience and time management while delivering against multiple deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in market research/marketing or related social science and analytic subject areas. Masters

preferred

The salary range for this role in Illinois is 97,400.00 -162,300.00 USD Annual. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
