Expected salary range of $117,900 to $131,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Serve as a leader of Constellation's comprehensive business (supplier) diversity programming. Foster an inclusive procurement ecosystem that supports diverse suppliers and small businesses and contribute to the economic growth of the communities we serve. Support the integration of diversity and sustainability principles into Constellation's supply chain, contributing to socially responsible and environmentally sustainable supply chains. Role is integral in driving the Constellation's commitment to supply chain diversity, economic inclusion, and community impact. Aids the Director and Vice President of Business (Supplier) Diversity. Plans, develops, and administers activities and services of Constellation's Business (Supplier) Diversity Office. Provides input into policies and program development. Implements programmatic elements of supplier diversity program as directed by Director. Works in a seamless, integrated manner with Supply, other business units, and internal and external stakeholders to achieve Business (Supplier) Diversity strategic goals and objectives. The incumbent is responsible for helping to develop and achieving Constellation's Business (Supplier) Diversity Strategic goals, objectives, and annual priorities. The incumbent is a primary point of contact for the Business (Supplier) Diversity program/office. The incumbent helps to ensure that the Business (Supplier) Diversity activities are aligned with the Constellation's vision, mission, core values and strategic priorities. Incumbent supervises office employees. Incumbent plans, organizes, and manages day-to-day operations of the office. This position reports to the Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for enhancing supplier diversity across all purchasing and sourcing channels, aligning with the Constellation's overall business goals and strategic priorities.
- Develop procedures, processes, standards for the business (supplier) diversity program.
- Lead the integration of supplier diversity principles in the sourcing processes and procurement processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, community-based organizations, advocacy groups, certification bodies, and suppliers (both diverse and non-diverse).
- Responsible for training, monitoring, reporting, metrics, analysis, implementation, delivery and collaboration of initiatives and activities.
- Collaboration with internal and external teams and communities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier diversity program, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance outcomes.
- Actively participate in strategy meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of initiatives that promote economic inclusion and social responsibility within the supply chain.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science or related field with five (5) years experience in supplier diversity, supply chain, and procurement required or High school diploma or equivalent, with (12) years of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant MBA.
- Working knowledge of the Purchasing, procurement technology, and supplier diversity sourcing tools.
- Understanding of Strategic Sourcing: commodities, suppliers, market alignments and supply concepts and technical and non-technical clients.
- Working knowledge of Supplier Diversity, Socioeconomic or Economic Inclusion programs and activities. CPSD or CPSM certification(s). ACCA certification.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supplier diversity programs and associated goals and tactics. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a commitment to developing team members and fostering a collaborative team environment. Successful track record of developing and managing supplier relationships Willingness to travel. Leadership skills can lead inter-department teams and external stakeholder project teams. Detail, action, and results oriented. Ability to analyze and interpret qualitative data. Keen ability to compile date, evaluate data, and improve processes. Excellent PC and computer skills (e,g, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Power BI, Asset Suite) Excellent communicator, written and oral, with strengths in organization, planning and negotiation skills. Strong analytical skills.
