Position Overview

This position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a degree. Co-op available for spring 2025 or fall 2025 semester.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for electrical, instrumentation, and control applications for all paper mill operations including:

  • Assisting EI&C Department Engineers in assigned tasks.
  • Field data gathering, inventory management analysis, and documentation streamlining.
  • Maintaining/updating drawings and equipment files.
  • Researching files to obtain information to answer questions relating to various mill equipment and processes.
  • Supervising project-related items and equipment/parts installations.
  • Meeting with contractors, vendors, engineers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver and reinforce consistent messages at multiple levels.
  • Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Must be willing to work in dirty, noisy, hot, humid environments.
  • Ability to work with plant personnel and engineering groups to ensure the proper execution of work.
  • Prioritization of time and work.
  • Use of self-initiative and independence to complete tasks with urgency and meet deadlines.
