Purpose:
To assist the Life Enrichment Director in the completion of the weekly scheduled resident activities/events. To promote these activities to residents so that participation is enhanced. To execute any other duties assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of High School Education
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must have a valid Florida Drivers License.
• Must have a positive attitude toward the public and the elderly.
• Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Essential Job Functions: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Act as the leader for scheduled activities such are exercise, bingo, cards, etc. as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.
• Complete any assigned participation forms for resident activity participation.
• Ensure that residents are assisted to their requested destination when activities are completed.
Physical Job Requirements:
• This position involves standing, walking, bending, sitting; fine hand coordination, ability to read and write English, ability to communicate with residents, families, staff and support agencies; ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions; and the ability to hear and remain calm under stress.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Drivers License for at least 2-4 years.
