Description:

SnapCare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in corrections care to join our healthcare team. As an RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients in a mental health/correctional care setting. RN must have extensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions, recognize nursing principles and practices in providing professional nursing care under minimal supervision in a variety of settings and a thorough knowledge of nursing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess a valid, active Registered Nurse License issued by the State of Colorado (Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) OR any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Must be fingerprinted from an approved state recognized facility. (ie. Identogo)
  • Current unencumbered CO RN license
  • 1 year experience required within the last 5 years
  • Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Compassionate Care: Provide empathetic and compassionate nursing care to patients within a correctional care. Prioritize their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring comfort and support during their recovery.
  • Conduct Thorough Health Assessments: Perform comprehensive health assessments, meticulously documenting patients’ medical history. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
  • Medication Administration and Treatment: Safely administer medications and perform necessary treatments. Monitor vital signs closely to maintain patient safety and comfort.
  • Patient Coordination: Efficiently coordinate patient care by scheduling tests, consultations, and referrals. Facilitate seamless communication between healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other registered nurses, physicians, and healthcare professionals. Foster a collaborative environment to enhance patient care and achieve positive results.
  • Accurate Documentation and Safety Adherence: Maintain meticulous and accurate medical records. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
