Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area.
To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights
- Transports medications, IV’s, TPN’s (Total Parenteral Nutrition), other pharmacy supplies, and equipment to the nursing units and clinics
- Rotates through all work areas of the pharmacy department
- Prepares medications and supplies for dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Prepares inventories and orders drugs and supplies from pharmacy storeroom

Pay Rate
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Candidate Profile
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required
- Must have a minimum of one year pharmacy experience, completion of an ASHP (American Society of Health System Pharmacists) approved pharmacy technician vocational course, or must be a student enrolled in a college of pharmacy or at the University of Chicago. Graduates of foreign pharmacy programs are also eligible for consideration.
