Welcome to the Emergency Department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center! TheEmergencyDepartmentwas completely renovated and expanded in 2021. There are 38 privatetreatment rooms, adedicated behavioral health area, 8 flex chairs, and two large trauma rooms. Our EmergencyDepartmentsees over48,000 patientsper year. Gaingreat experiencetaking care of patients ofall ageswith various medical conditions! We arewilling to train!PreviousEmergency Department experience is notrequired.
We currently have Night Shift and Rotating Day/Night Shift available.
*Nurses who do not have ED experience will take part in ourBridge Programforadditionaltraining.*
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
This position has a hiring range of $37.50 - $54.92
