About the Role
The Badger Operations Leadership Training (BOLT) candidate will participate in an in-depth training program. BOLT candidates will rotate to different company departments (e.g. Finance, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to learn all company functions, policies, and staff duties over a 2-3 month period. BOLT candidates will get hands-on experience in all facets of the business, including learning how to operate a Hydrovac truck, sell the business services, and run a profitable operation.
Upon successful completion of training period, candidates will be placed in a branch office for a year-long residency enabling candidates to put into practice the skills, education, and behaviors taught in the program. Upon residency completion, candidates can be placed in any location, but effort will be made to place candidates in their preferred geographic region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Gains experience, perspective, and understanding by working in different departments of the organization; completes instruction on various topics related to the department rotations.
- Learns various staff functions, including operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices affecting each phase of business. Gains knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.
- Assists in the process of developing and validating policies, procedures, and/or job aids and various training materials.
- Completes all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.
What You'll Need for Success
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, with preference given to Construction Management, Business or Marketing degrees or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Position requires a valid driver’s license. Willingness to obtain a commercial driver’s license preferred.
- Prior management skills.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and a proven action-oriented approach is required.
- Driven problem solving and communication skills with the ability to relate well to a wide variety of people.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Badger’s reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - 80,000
Compensation may vary and will be a result from the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include criminal background check, driver’s abstract review and drug and alcohol test.
