General Summary of Position

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Endoscopy:

The Endoscopy Unit at MedStar Georgetown is a high-volume procedural department with 5 pre-procedural bays and 6 state-of-the-art procedural rooms. The Endoscopy nurse will assist expert physicians perform advanced therapeutic procedures such as Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Single Balloon Enteroscopy and Barrx Procedures/Treatments. Endoscopy nurses will work closely with patients to perform medical intake in preparation for procedures and assist physicians during the procedures with specimen collection and charting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

·ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.

·Prior Clinical Nursing experience preferred.

·Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 - $63.30
