Gifted Requirements

A minimum of 1 year as a CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech) with recent experience in the specialty.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

CATScanTechnologists (CT Tech)operate CAT scan andsendimages toradiologistsfor interpretation.The CT Tech determinesand setsappropriate technical parameters andpositionspatientsfortheanatomy and pathologytobe accurately demonstrated.CT tech job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administercontrast materialinjections
  • Record the patient’s medical history before an exam and educate and prepare patients for their examinations
  • CT Tech act as the primary liaison between patients and radiologists and other members of the support team
  • Address problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents
