Job Description
We are looking for aProduct Support Specialist toprovidedata entryofMedicaidRenewal applications.This position will befull-timeandon-site.
Serve as a knowledgeable guide and support for individuals applying forMedicaid, ensuring a thorough understanding of theapplicationprocess
Acquire a thorough understanding of the State of Delaware's Health and Social Services programs of assistance
Maintain a thorough knowledge ofHIPAAregulations and ensure confidentiality and security of client information
Understand and apply Delaware's MAGI-based eligibility standards forMedicaidand related programs
Determine eligibility for a minimum of 10 cases each day, with diligent follow-up on cases requiring additionalclient contact
Analyze applicants'financial dataand input calculations into the eligibility system for accuratecase management
Conduct client interviews, exchanging general and sensitive information to determine eligibility
Collaborate closely with clients to securely collectapplicationdocuments in digital formats (pdf, jpg, etc.)
Document allcase managementactivities and communications within the eligibility system
Attend Fair Hearings to support clients who are disputing denials or other decisions related to their cases
Participate actively in one-on-one and staff meetings to stay informed and up-to-date with processes and procedures
Handle additionalcase managementresponsibilities as required, adapting to the evolving needs of the department
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year ofsocial work case processingexperience
Minimum of one year ofcustomer serviceexperience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish
Strong proficiency withMicrosoft OfficeSuite (Excel, Word, Teams)
Strong understanding of Delaware's MAGI-based eligibility standards forMedicaid
In-depth knowledge ofMedicaidand the State of Delaware’s Programs of Assistance eligibility criteria
Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks effectively
Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail
Ability to performfinancial calculationsand analyze complex data
Proven problem-solving skills
Responsible and self-driven individual committed tocommunity servicein a team-oriented environment
Reliable transportation to and from the office, with a record of punctuality
Availability to work extra hours or a Saturday each month as needed
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
3-5 years of experience in social work, particularly with processing applications for assistance programs
Ability tosafely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistentwith the ADA and other federal,stateand localstandards
Sedentary work that involves sitting orremainingstationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer,utilizinga mouse, keyboard, andmonitor
