Sales Manager
Accountable To: Director of Sales/General Manager
Hotel Equities, one of the top hotel development and management companies in the industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Manager for the AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown. What will you do
Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement sales strategies for assigned segments to achieve hotel profitability and customer satisfaction.
Solicit business through prospecting, networking events, and maintaining relationships with local community groups, companies, and trade organizations.
Meet/exceed assigned revenue goals by securing new accounts and nurturing existing relationships.
Client Engagement:
Conduct site tours and represent the hotel to prospective clients.
Maintain a comprehensive customer database to track leads and ensure follow-ups.
Develop and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring all terms align with business objectives.
Networking:
Attend and actively participate in networking events to build the hotel’s presence and generate new business opportunities.
Foster long-term relationships with key clients to drive group business, including room sales, catering, and events.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with hotel leadership to align sales efforts with property goals and market trends.
Maintain open communication with all departments to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
About you:
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in hotel sales or related hospitality experience.
Skills:
Market knowledge and ability to identify revenue opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, and Internet tools.
Strong organization, detail orientation, and ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
A team player with initiative, perseverance, and ethical professionalism.
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, to meet guest and business needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by daily operations.
Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential.
Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, flexibility to work varied schedules based on hotel business needs.
