JOB OBJECTIVE SUMMARY:

The Psychologist PhD is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: Provide psychological evaluation, consultation, trainings, clinical supervision of Master Level psychology staff and therapy, as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
  2. Provide neuropsychological diagnostic services for the Center for Autism and provide effective individual consumer treatment plans for pediatric and adolescent populations.
  3. Conducting standardized testing specific for diagnosing Autism, such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) or the Autism Diagnostic Interview- Revised (ADI-R). May also include assessments of IQ, developmental level, language, behavior, daily living skills, and social abilities. Some preferred tests would be: CARS-2 clinician ratings, Vineland - 3 Adaptive Behavior Scale or similar, BASC-3 or CBC, Wechsler IQ tests (WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV).
  4. Provide individual and group education, training, and psychotherapy when clinically indicated.
  5. Provide leadership in formulating a consensus regarding client characteristics and development of a consistent treatment approach to identified goals in the context of interdisciplinary treatment.
  6. Provide consultation services to individuals served, referral and funding sources, Hope Network staff, and involved parties.
  7. Participate in program development and evaluation.
  8. Participate in education and training activities of employees.
  9. Provide clinical supervision of master’s level psychology staff as required by license status.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum Education required: Doctoral degree from an accredited university in a clinical psychology health profession (Health Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or Counseling Psychology).
  2. Credentials: Full Psychologist License in Michigan.
  3. Demonstrated writing skills for professional documents, including clinical documentation and clinical work products in an EMR framework.
  4. Competence in training, public speaking, professional education and professional presentation skills.
  5. Competence in comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological and behavioral assessment, clinical treatment, and clinical consultation roles.
  6. Competence in clinical supervision.
  7. Ability to work with a variety of individuals as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Ability to articulate and actively support the mission of the corporation to various audiences.
  10. Clinical experience: 1 year of doctoral clinical service experience in health service psychology preferred.
  11. Demonstrated ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
