Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities within the National Reconnaissance Organization (NRO) and related markets. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of NRO, especially the Mission Operations (MOD), Ground Enterprise (GED) and Mission Integration (MID) Directorates, and its partner agencies including organizational structure, mission priorities and procurement methodology and tendencies, and competitive landscape both from a Prime and subcontractor perspective. You will leverage this knowledge to develop customer and partner engagement plans and provide thought leadership in the marketplace leading to the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans.

HOW A SENIOR DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide business development for the NRO account.

  • Develop, manage, and update a pipeline with more than $4 billion of new opportunities.

  • Ability to lead, develop, and execute a sustainable multi-year pipeline growth strategy.

  • Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders.

  • Create and execute call plans to collect information about opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proposes and tests potential solutions; and qualify opportunities.

  • Candidate to provide an up-to-date non-proprietary Deal Sheet reflecting opportunities worked and wins and losses to include candidate’s role for each prior to a scheduled job interview.

  • Provide critical leadership across the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Development Process.

  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, he/she formulates, communicates, and implements an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for the award

  • Develop and implements campaign plans and strategies, maintains a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors, and develops/implements winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses

  • Establish value-added teaming strategies based on Gap Analysis to improve Pwin and to create a profitable return at a winning bid price enabling a reasonable EBIT.

  • Analyze markets for company products and services and recommends strategies to achieve marketing goals.

  • Perform business development services including networking and research to increase business and maintain a current knowledge base of opportunities.

  • Meet with current and potential clients to ascertain their requirements and apprise them of company capabilities.

  • Coordinate and exchange information and leads with managers and other personnel.

  • Develop proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials.

  • Support New Business Reviews and Business Area Reviews

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies to successfully meet client requirements.

  • Develop and implement a market strategy for the NRO Account

  • Support the business development team in managing and tracking status of NDAs/TAs and subcontracts for strategic captures within the NRO Account

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Experience: 15+ years experience within the Intelligence Community and/or DoD with a specific demonstrable level of knowledge of the NRO mission, organization, budget, and operational footprint.

Required Experience: Proven leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to build relationships, work as part of a highly dynamic team and lead through influence at all levels of the organization.

Required Experience: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the ongoing changes in the Defense/IC mission and organizational environment

Required Skills & Experience: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate NRO mission needs and requirements into business opportunities

Required Experience: Active engagement as a visible thought leader in the relevant customer eco-system(s).

Required Experience: Proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in relevant markets.

Required Experience: Able to Develop actionable plans by leveraging market knowledge and results orientation with sense of urgency.

The likely salary range for this position is $211,245 - $258,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
