Overview:
Compensation / Benefits
- $30.11-$49.17/hr. based on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $2.50/hr.
- Night differential $3.00/hr.
- Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

HPX NICU is a 25 bedLevel III Unit caring for infants 23-42 weeks gestation. We have a staff of 5 Neonatologistandexperienced NursePractitioner working alongside experienceRN's who specialize in Neonatal Care. In addition, we have a NICU ground transport team whoareable to provide care to critical infants in need.
Responsibilities:
- The charge nurse coordinates the nursing services of departments by leading, directing and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team. Serves as department leader alongside and in absences of Nurse Manager.
- Performs RN essential functions to include, but are not limited to:
- collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy,
- establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care,
- evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associates degree (ADN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- 1 year NICU experience required.
- Along with previous work history reflecting stable employment.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or activemulti-state RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Must participate in Perinatal Continuing Education Program (PCEP) when offered at that hospital.
- Must complete STABLE program within 1 year of hire and maintained if offered at NRHS.
- Must attend breastfeeding classes as offered.
- Must attend required teach weeks/skills fairs and participate in emergency drills while on the job.
