The Executive Compensation Director is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and administration of the organization’s Executive Compensation programs. This role ensures that compensation structures align with the organization’s goals, are competitive within the market, and comply with all legal regulations. The Executive Compensation Director partners with the Head of Total Rewards, Chief HR Officer, Legal and applicable third-party vendors to ensure that Executive Compensation strategies are implemented and reported appropriately.
Responsibilities of the Executive Compensation Director role include but are not limited to:
• Design, analyze and administer Executive Compensation Programs, annual and long-term incentive plans, and deferred compensation plans
• Provide consultation on executive compensation matters to the Board of Directors, Chief Human Resources Officer and Legal Partners
• Oversee the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosure and Compensation Committee Meetings
• Directs the salary survey process and works with external vendors to evaluate market data and benchmarks for executive level positions
• Serve as a subject matter expert on executive compensation-related compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Develop executive compensation-related policies and procedures and ensure consistent administration across all business units.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for senior leadership on executive compensation strategies, trends, and program performance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, with experience designing and managing executive compensation programs.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
• Expertise in compensation strategy, job evaluation, market analysis, and salary structure design.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database tools.
• Experience working with HRIS systems, including ADP and Success Factors
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts to various stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
