Infra Ops Specialist - Oracle DBA - Oracle EBS
Work location : Stamford - CT / Hybrid (2-3 days week)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
- In charge of developing and implementing database backups and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning database settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues that affect the production user community.
- Develop, implement, and manage database security policies and procedures.
- Work closely with team members to guarantee database operation and integrity.
- Interact with internal cross functional teams to comprehend, design, assess, and analyze requirements and provide technical expertise in developing solutions.
- Assess the suitability of data for storage and the best way to organize storage.
- Defines, documents, and implements standards to monitor and improve the database capacity and performance.
- Maintains knowledge of and assesses new and developing technologies and tools.
- Minimize database downtime and control parameters to ensure quick query responses.
- Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are met, collaborating with support teams as needed when large events occur.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience administering and maintaining Oracle 11g
- Experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Proficiency in PL/SQL
- Expertise in database tools: Toad, SQL Developer, SQL *Plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow, Oracle BI Discoverer and Oracle Reports
- Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data related issues
- Modeling of relational and dimensional data
- Experience with utilities like Putty and WinSCP
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and Linux command line
- Knowledge of Linux and infrastructure
Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
