La division Expedia Product & Technology cre des produits, des services et des outils innovants pour offrir des expriences de haute qualit aux voyageurs, aux partenaires et nos employs. Une seule plateforme technologique alimente par les donnes et l’apprentissage automatique permet d’offrir aux voyageurs et nos partenaires des expriences scurises, distinctes et personnalises qui favorisent la fidlisation et la satisfaction de la clientle.

Au sein de la division Expedia Product & Technology, notre organisation, Content Foundations, se consacre offrir des capacits de plateforme volutives de qualit dans un environnement de dveloppement agile. Nous dveloppons des applications dorsales prenant en charge les capacits d’acquisition, de gestion et de distribution de contenu pertinent (contenu structur, non structur et mdias) dans plus de 40 langues vers toutes les marques d’Expedia Group. Nos services de premier plan permettent de grer et de surveiller de grands volumes de transaction.

Nous adhrons une approche de processus de dveloppement et d’exploitation selon laquelle nos dveloppeurs participent chaque tape du dveloppement logiciel, soit de la conception au dploiement. Nous sommes la recherche d’un(e) collaborateur(-trice) individuel(le) hautement qualifi(e) pour se joindre notre quipe Montral, avec une base solide dans des domaines de dveloppement cls et une polyvalence dans diverses technologies. Vous devez tre en mesure d’identifier les inefficacits dans le code ou dans les oprations du systme, de fournir des suggestions d’amlioration et de penser de manire holistique pour dcouvrir les possibilits d’amliorer les politiques et les processus au-del des frontires organisationnelles.

Dans ce rle, vous aurez les responsabilits suivantes :

  • Contribuer la conception, au dveloppement et la qualit de nouvelles fonctionnalits

  • Appliquer systmatiquement les principes de gnie logiciel aux contextes oprationnels et amliorer les systmes existants

  • uvrer l’amlioration constante de notre processus de dveloppement de logiciels

  • Rsoudre des problmes et surmonter des obstacles rencontrs. Porter une attention particulire aux dtails et s’assurer de rsoudre les problmes l’intrieur des dlais prescrits

  • Participer activement des revues technologiques de groupe pour commenter votre travail et celui des autres

  • Faire partie d’une communaut de praticiens qui acquirent et partagent des connaissances

  • Partager de nouvelles aptitudes et connaissances avec l’quipe afin d’accrotre l’efficacit

  • Agir titre de mentor auprs de dveloppeurs novices

Votre exprience et vos comptences :

  • Baccalaurat ou matrise en informatique, en dveloppement logiciel ou dans un domaine technique connexe, ou exprience professionnelle pertinente quivalente

  • Au moins 5 ans d’exprience en dveloppement logiciel (dans l’cosystme Java) au sein d’une quipe

  • Exprience de travail avec la dernire version de Java, Spring et Spring Boot

  • Une certaine exprience avec REST, GraphQL, gRPC, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes et divers magasins de donnes (relationnels et NoSQL). La familiarit avec Kotlin est un atout

  • Travailler dans un environnement Agile/Kanban est un atout

  • Un grand intrt pour les nouvelles technologies et capacit apprendre

  • Capacit bien communiquer avec des intervenants de diffrents rles et de diffrentes units commerciales

  • Excellent esprit d’quipe

  • Matrise du franais fonctionnel (en plus de l’anglais)

Within Expedia Product & Technology, our organization, Content Foundations, is dedicated to delivering quality and scalable platform capabilities in an agile development environment. We develop backend services supporting capabilities to acquire, manage and distribute relevant content (structured/unstructured content and Media) in over 40 languages to all Expedia Group brands. Our tier-1 services handle well monitored, high volume transactions.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual contributor to join our team in Montreal, with a robust foundation in key development areas and versatility in various technologies. Capable of identifying inefficiencies in code or system operations, providing improvement suggestions, and thinking holistically to uncover opportunities for enhancing policies and processes across organizational boundaries.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the design, development and quality of feature delivery

  • Consistently apply software engineering principles to business contexts and to improve existing systems

  • Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process

  • Resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, follow through on details and drive issues to closure within SLA

  • Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others

  • Participate in a community of practice to share and gain knowledge

  • Share new skills and knowledge with team to increase effectiveness

  • Act as a mentor to more junior engineers

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development (in the java ecosystem) in a team environment

  • Experience working with the latest Java version, Spring and Spring Boot

  • Some experience with REST, GraphQL, gRPC, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and various datastores (both relational and NoSQL). Familiarity with Kotlin is a plus

  • Work in an Agile/Kanban environment will be an asset

  • A keen interest and ability to learn new technologies

  • Ability to communicate well with stakeholders having various roles and belonging to different business units

  • An excellent team spirit

  • Must be able to speak in functional French (in addition to English)

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $108,500.00 to $152,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $173,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
