The Project Manager, Globalization role sits on the Globalization team in the Expedia Product & Technology division of Expedia Group. The team’s mission is to grow a global love of travel by crafting and scaling the local experience across the Expedia Group marketplace. To achieve this, the team localizes and drives internationalization best practices across a wide range of content, tools and applications for multiple brands and geographies, translating into over 35 languages.

In this role, you will:

  • Build partnerships and trust with stakeholders, through the reliable execution of localization projects and the sharing of best practices.

  • Evaluate project readiness, identify risks, create schedules, and coordinate resources.

  • Prepare handoffs, lead kick-off meetings, and adjust/improve processes as needed.

  • Track progress, resolves issues, answer queries, and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.

  • Identify and manage continuous improvement initiatives and lead retrospectives.

  • Assist in budget and forecast preparation, track project costs and record variances’ commentary.

Experience and qualifications:

  • You have minimum 2 years’ experience within the globalization/localization industry, with proficiency in at least one translation tool or platform

  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of localization & internationalization best practices, with proven experience leveraging this knowledge to drive improvements

  • You have project/program management experience, and are adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • You have proficient organizational & communication skills, with a track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders at various levels and in different contexts

Le poste de gestionnaire de projet, Mondialisation, fait partie de l’quipe Mondialisation de la division Expedia Product & Technology d’Expedia Group. La mission de l’quipe est de cultiver l’amour du voyage dans le monde entier en concevant et en dveloppant l’exprience locale sur l’ensemble du march d’Expedia Group. Pour ce faire, l’quipe applique les pratiques exemplaires d’internationalisation et localise un large ventail de contenus, d’outils et d’applications pour de multiples marques et zones gographiques en traduisant dans plus de 35 langues.

Dans ce rle, vous aurez les responsabilits suivantes :

  • tablir des partenariats et la confiance avec les intervenants, grce l’excution fiable de projets de localisation et au partage des pratiques exemplaires.

  • valuer l’tat de prparation des projets, identifier les risques, tablir des calendriers et coordonner les ressources.

  • Prparer les directives de transfert, diriger les runions de lancement et modifier ou amliorer les processus au besoin.

  • Suivre l’avancement des projets, rsoudre les problmes, rpondre aux questions et veiller ce que les produits livrs dans le cadre du projet rpondent aux attentes.

  • Dterminer et grer les initiatives d’amlioration continue et diriger des rtrospectives.

  • Aider la prparation du budget et des prvisions, suivre les cots des projets et noter les observations sur les carts.

Votre exprience et vos comptences :

  • Vous avez au moins deux ans d’exprience dans le secteur de la mondialisation ou de la localisation et matrisez au moins un outil ou une plateforme de traduction.

  • Vous faites preuve d’une grande comprhension des pratiques exemplaires en matire de localisation et d’internationalisation, et vous avez une exprience avre de l’exploitation de ces connaissances en vue d’apporter des amliorations.

  • Vous avez de l’exprience en gestion de projets et de programmes et tes capable de grer plusieurs initiatives simultanment.

  • Vous avez de bonnes comptences en matire d’organisation et de communication, et vous avez l’habitude de travailler efficacement avec des intervenants diffrents niveaux et dans diffrents contextes.

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $71,000.00 to $99,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $113,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
