Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area.
To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights
- Works at different workstations as production needs require
- Assists in production as needed
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process
- Responsible for proper packaging of all finished goods, verifying and executing pallet patterns where applicable

Pay Rate
$18.17 per hour
Candidate Profile
- Must be able to walk, stand, and continuously lift up to 70 pounds in a loud environment
- Ability to write and read in English
- Promotes teamwork, possesses a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed
- One year of food manufacturing experience preferred
