Overview:
The role involves assessing and documenting patient conditions, planning and organizing nursing care, implementing care according to policies, and evaluating service effectiveness. Key responsibilities include effective communication, participation in organizational activities, and unit management. This includes ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, managing resources efficiently, and fostering a collaborative environment. The manager also participates in staff meetings, presents inservices, maintains certifications, contributes to departmental projects, evaluates staff performance, manages staffing needs, and ensures patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
- Licensure: RN in state of practice.
- Experience: Five years of procedural experience in the OR.
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
- Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Preferred Certifications: CNOR preferred
