Position: CNC Machinist

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in producing high-quality precision parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. This position requires diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing necessary adjustments, and ensuring products meet blueprint specifications through meticulous inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Machine Programming:
- Analyzing blueprints and work orders to plan machining operations, programming CNC mills and lathes with precise instructions, selecting and mounting appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Quality Control:
- Inspecting materials against work orders, monitoring machine operations, taking precise measurements to identify and address any inconsistencies, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Performing routine preventative maintenance on CNC machines, diagnosing and resolving mechanical or operational issues promptly, ensuring proper coolant levels and machine warm-up/cool-down procedures.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Demonstrating expertise in operating horizontal milling machines and utilizing precision measuring tools, with a strong understanding of blueprints, routers, and cutting tools.
- Collaboration & Documentation:
- Maintaining clear communication between shifts by documenting actions and updates, accurately completing production and quality logs, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, with a 2-year technical degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machine tool trades
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in CNC Set up- Print to Part
