ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Principal Cyber Network Engineer to join our team in the Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritize requirements based on the needs of the project
- Interacts with other team members and customers at multiple levels to gather, supply, or coordinate information
- Good communication and customer service skills are needed along with ability to coordinate effectively with individuals from multiple levels
- Provides insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers’ requirements
- Work with engineers on troubleshooting and building complex, highly available network topologies
- Performs engineering support and system administration of applications and systems to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore
- Provides Tier 2/3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed technologies
- Supports Assessment and Authorization activities related to cybersecurity technologies, where applicable
- Identifies potential conflicts with implementation of any cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflicts
- Provides ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection using scripts and assists with testing/implementation to production
- Other project and corporate duties as assigned to support the customer
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience or 14+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers
- Experience with deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Juniper, F5, and Nutanix
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts
- Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of federal Cyber Security Guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 – Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to Federal Information Systems and NIST 800-137 – Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to detect information on a computer screen
