ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Laurel, Maryland. The position is part of a team that provides development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systems

  • Reviewing and testing software components

  • Resolving software problem reports

  • Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment

  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

  • Write or review software and system documentation

  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

  • Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

  • Debug existing software and correct defects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 years of experience, or four (4) additional years of experience are required in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs for building and consuming web services.

  • Knowledge of Apache Maven for build automation and dependency management.

  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.

  • Expertise with Docker for containerization and application deployment.

  • Proficiency in Linux (BASH) for server management and scripting.

  • Knowledge of Apache NiFi for automating and managing data flows.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
