ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Engineer, Principal, serving as a Deputy Project Manager, to join our team in the Chantilly, VA, area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the creation of fully developed project schedules utilizing the Enterprise Scheduling Service platform (ESS) built on Microsoft Project
- Assist with creating quality briefing decks, to include detailed cost estimates, based on projects for senior leadership presentation
- Coordinate the engineering, integration, and administration function required to deliver capabilities and services to the enterprise
- Ensure that all aspects of the projects are completed and delivered according to the implementation plan and schedule
- Responsible for coordinating the build-out and testing of sophisticated applications and tools in a virtual and physical environment
- Manage the engineering, integration, and administration support required for successful delivery of capabilities and services to the operational and engineering baseline
- Manage incident/request ticket queues through ServiceNow and various ticket platforms
- Manage, utilize, evaluate, and update all engineer instruction sets and SOPs
- Attend weekly customer and corporate meetings and track action items to completion
- Coordinate and assign tasks in aiding the Program/Project engineers in testing and implementing future enhancements
- Operate and multitask in a dynamic high tempo environment
- Perform work duties in a government environment as part of a multi-contractor team
- Support integration of systems applications and tools within the customer’s environment
- Assist with the management of Tier 2-4 support to the customer to include troubleshooting and resolution of issues
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- 7+ years of relevant cyber security work experience
- Experience with managing and leading of small to medium teams
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and appropriate application of DoD/IC policy and technical security guidance to information systems
- IAT Level II certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with system design and integration
- Experience with Risk Management Framework knowledge
- Knowledge of security technologies such as vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, log monitoring, and endpoint protection
- Ability to learn the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ a CI polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
