A Brief OverviewPerforms scrub duties and assists surgeons with procedures.
What you will do
- Assists surgeons by handing required instruments during procedures without difficulty.
- Documents controls accurately and correctly from Steris DX and flash sterilization.
- Performs all suture and instrument counts without error.
- Stores products appropriately.
- Checks for outdated supplies, noting before opening on the back table.
- Selects product(s) for procedures.
- Orients new staff as assigned.
- Maintains turnover time within acceptable limits.
- Maintains awareness of safety hazards and use of equipment to prevent damage or harm to personnel or patients.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Less than 1 year previous healthcare experience
