Job Summary and Qualifications
Lead Respiratory Therapist - Day Shift Opportunity
We are seeking a Lead CRT/RRT Respiratory Therapist for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Lead Therapist on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop/implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Your duties and responsibilities may include:
·You will be responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
·You are must be self-directed
·You will maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given
·You will set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages
Requirements:
·Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred
·Minimum 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience; critical care and intubation experience preferred
·Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
·Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
·Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; New hires/transfers must obtain within 6 months of hire
·Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; New hires/transfers must obtain within 6 months of hire
