A few details about the role:
- Assesses the nutritional needs of the health center residents and assuring that the nutritional care component of resident care plan is developed and implemented for each resident and that this plan is periodically reviewed and modified as necessary.
- Communicate with the Culinary Director on operation problems, resident food service and therapeutic diets.
- Work with the Nursing staff on diet changes for the residents.
- Monitor monthly weights, medical diagnosis, drug nutrient interactions, changes in chewing, swallowing, mood changes hydration status, intake, skin breakdown, reports changes to the appropriate staff and makes recommendations for changes to appropriate staff.
- Oversee food prepared for tray service in the health center for quality, quantity and temperature control.
- Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of written dietary service objectives and standards of practice with procedures for implementation.
And here’s what you need to apply:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college with major studies in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major, required.
- Possesses and maintains current state licensure as Dietitian and active credentials with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Must have experience in health care field related to food service.
