As aUS FOODS®Maintenance Mechanicyouwillberesponsible forpartnering with team members across the Transportation departmenton all clerical functions asrequired, with special emphasis onDOTrules and regulations compliance andreporting.
Schedule(Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am)
GreatMaintenance Mechanicare crucial to theUSFOODS®team and one of the important faces of our organization. OurMaintenance Mechanicstrivesfor integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships withteam members.
Performnecessary repairs and maintenance to warehouse-related equipment (i.e.,pallet jacks,high lifts, forklifts, etc.) toensurethat adequate machinery is available for day and night warehouse operations.
Review any equipment reportssubmittedby warehouse associates, record actions/repairs taken, andmaintaina repair log perUSF (US Foods)policy.
Perform PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) onequipment andmaintainPM (PREVENTIVEMTC)log with proper documentation, per USF policy.
Comply withall USF and government guidelinesregardingsafety when working on equipment (i.e.,Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding andrequireddocumentation, safe work environment, etc.)
Maintain and secure the battery-charging area, batteries and other equipment contained therein.
Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area.
If authorized, may purchase tools and other equipment needs from local vendors to perform required duties.

Related Experience/Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of equipment repair andoperation.
Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
Welding ability
Able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23.00 and $32.00
