The APRN will be responsible for :
  • Providing front-line care and coordination for complex, critically ill patients in the MICU, including assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, bedside procedures, and family-centered care.
  • Collaborating and consulting with acute care providers and interdisciplinary team members on all assigned inpatients during daily rounds. Managing assigned patients throughout the course of the day.
  • Participating in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitating patient/family and multidisciplinary team education.
To qualify, you must have:
  • A minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU RN experience.
  • 1-2 years of Pediatric acute care NP experience is preferred; new graduate NPs will also be considered.
  • Certified Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP).
  • PALS preferred
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, and a maximum of every third weekend.
