Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists the Quality Management Director in implementation of all aspects of the Quality Management Program including:
1. Identification of opportunities to improve patient care
2. Planning and facilitating interventions
3. Evaluation and sustaining of success
4. Teaching PI methods and strategies
5. Leadership in PI activities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist in implementation of the hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program.
2. Works with the Medical Staff leadership, regulatory agencies, and hospital staff as directed.
3. Reviews medical records according to criteria and outcome data identified.
4. Assists in identifying and developing organizational improvement opportunities while looking at specific clinical outcomes.
5. Participates in education of hospital and medical staff in the performance improvement program/methodology and current TJC/TMF/CMS/TSDSH requirements.
6. Oversees the surveillance and outcomes of HAC prevention.
7. Other duties as assigned within scope and practice of licensure
What qualifications you will need:
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
1. BSN required
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Texas or compact state Nursing License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
1. MSN
2. Education experience within the last 3 years
3. Clinical Experience within the last 5 years
4. Current computer skills, word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, and presentation software
5. Interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with individuals of diverse management hierarchies and cultural backgrounds
