Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Day Surgery Registered Nurse you will deliver professional nursing care to patient population in outpatient surgery. Perform assessments, acuity assignments, and follow standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care. Maintain accountability for professional decisions and actions.
What you will do in this role:
- Perform nursing assessment, care plan implementation, and evaluation of treatments, and discharge planning.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary services.
- Admit outpatient surgery patients/recover phase two surgery patients
- Start IV's, draw labs, dressing changes
- Interactive patient teaching
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
- 1 year of recent experience preferred
