Role Overview:
Sodexo has an exciting new opportunity for a part-time Registered Dietitian 2 to support Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia,with an office location inChristiansburg, VA- near Blacksburg. This position will provide dietetic support to our operations team and frontline managers as the nutrition expert for the district, working closely with operators and students to provide nutritional guidance and menu support.This position will enjoy benefit of having school breaks off, including summer!This is a great opportunity for new RD's as well as experienced Dietitians!

What You'll Do:
- Partner closely with an Executive Chef and/or caf management in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales and determining what can be offered differently, and promoting nutritional campaigns;
- conduct lunch n learn educational sessions across the company and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the workforce in healthy eating habits;
- manage nutrition databases including PrimeroEdge and Nutrislice;
- work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;
- participate in Health Fairs, community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals;
- provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter-department liaisons.

What You Bring:
- Are a Registered Dietitian eligible for licensure in Virginia;
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels;
- have the proven ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
- have strong presentation skills;
- have demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role;
- have a history of working independently with little direction;
- have a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement;
- be bilingual in Spanish (preferred) but not required.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
