Job Description Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating laboratory personnel, and ensuring quality patient care in the area of specialty. Responsible for the training of staff and students and the assignments of personnel. Collects departmental QC/QA data. Ensures that performance, customer service, and productivity standards are met or exceeded.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
MLT (ASCP), MT,(ASCP) or equivalent except in Blood Bank which requires MT ASCP or equivalent. 5 years as a technician/technologist in a hospital laboratory with managerial Experience . Meets CLIA requirements for general supervision for laboratories performing high complexity testing. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication and managerial decision.
