- Read and interpret build prints. Work with Electrical Engineers and build Leaders to correct any problems with design of the machine/controls.
- Wiring of panels, J-boxes for sub-assemblies, final assemblies and any other Electrical task for the job.
- Assist in disassembly, packing and loading of machines for shipment.
- Follow good housekeeping practices throughout the plant.
- Complete as required in process QC check sheets.
- Complete as required QC audits.
- Assure good craftsmanship on jobs that are being built.
- Take direction from Leader and/or Supervisor
- Provide feedback on job status to Mechanical Assembly Leader.
- Know and understand due dates for jobs and schedule work accordingly.
- Follow-up with supervisor on daily basis to report progress of job(s) being worked on.
- Fill-in where required for absences.
- Order material and follow-up with receiving when required.
- Assist in start-up/de-bug of equipment.
- Recommend as appropriate work methods and/or materials that will improve existing designs.
- Travel as needed to assist in installations, de-bug, tryout, or problem solving at customer locations.
- Recommend, initiate, and follow-up as needed on engineering changes and document according to ECO procedures.
- Work on continuous improvement projects and special assignments as needed.
- Provide training and assistance to new employees
Education: High School Diploma required.
Journeyman’s card or Journeyman status preferred
Experience: 5+ years minimum experience in panel build, field wiring, de-bug.
