The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management Systems (QMS). This role involves managing quality control activities, coordinating audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those impacting product quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of managers, employees, and auditors to achieve quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to establish and maintain product and service requirements.
  • Report to senior management on Distribution Center (DC) performance, including quality audits, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings to assess QMS effectiveness and propose enhancements.
  • Stay informed about quality standards, regulations, and industry trends relevant to the organization’s products and services.
  • Prepare detailed reports, including audit findings and trend analysis.
  • Partner with training department to develop and deliver training programs to promote quality awareness and adherence

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Typically has 3-5 years of direct experience including 0-2 years of demonstrated managerial experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; project management experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through phone, email, and in person with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Visual and auditory ability sufficient for standard office tasks, including document review and attending meetings.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods (50% of the time) and occasionally move around the office to access files, equipment, or attend meetings.
  • Occasional light lifting (10-20 lbs.) and manual dexterity for using office equipment.
  • Indoor office setting with standard environmental conditions; some travel (10-15%) to vendor sites for audits and inspections.
