Summary

Red Viking, a Lincoln Electric Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Controls Project Engineer. The Controls Project Engineer is critical to our control systems design for industrial processes and equipment, ensuring that they meet client and end-user requirements and are in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

What You Will Do

  • System integration:integrates control systems with other industrial systems, such as mechanical, and electrical systems, to ensure that they work together effectively.
  • Testing and commissioning:tests and commissions controls systems ensuring that they operate safely and reliably and meet performance standards.
  • Documentation:creates and maintains documentation for controls systems, including design specifications, wiring diagrams, and operating manuals.
  • Project Management:may also be responsible for project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure team product quality as measured by engineering KPI’s.
  • Support department continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in ISO training and audits.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR equivalent work experience in related field; 4+ years’ related experience in engineering field with controls systems experience preferred.
  • Motion Controls experience with different types of Servo Drive and Variable Frequency Drive Systems.
  • Hardware design, component specification review and selection experience for electrical panels and equipment designs.
  • Custom machine design and commissioning experience.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, articulately and professionally.
  • Must have proven management and leadership experience leading a team of technical and engineering professionals.
  • Must have appropriate schedule flexibility, sense of urgency, motivation and versatility to make a substantial contribution to the organization’s success.
  • Ability to interact positively and constructively with all RedViking team members while representing company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to travel to other company and customer sites as needed (up to 25% - mainly during project kick-off and commissioning phase).
