BlueHalo’s Titan RF-CUAS Group designs, develops, and manufactures the Titan Counter-Unmanned Aerial System, providing real-time protection for life, property, and sensitive infrastructure from unwanted drones using a non-destructive AI-based approach. Titan systems are deployed across the globe, rapidly expanding the footprint of a technologically innovative solution that addresses all aspects of the user experience.

BlueHalo is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical background, exceptional mechanical dexterity, and a consistent attention to detail. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the design and development of BlueHalo’s Titan system and related componentsleveraging a familiarity with the design of machined and sheet metal components, 3D printing, cable assemblies, and mechanical assembliesas well as drawing creation thereof. Candidate will also perform consistent assembly and disassembly of the Titan system, subassemblies, and external components; this includes diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of customer systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with mechanical design and drawing creation
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D drawings
  • Experience with mechanical design of ruggedized electronics systems. (Including knowledge of ingress protection, shock/vibe isolation, and heat rejection.)
  • Experience with assembly, integration, and testing

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with, drones
  • Experience with full life-cycle engineering
  • Experience with assembly, integration, and test
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T practices
  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) software
  • Experience employing shock and vibration isolation
  • Prior work experience operating a 3+ axis machine
  • Familiar with MIL-STD-810
  • Familiar with various methods of heat rejection in electronics systems
  • Knowledge in the design of ingress protected enclosures
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to various projects and types of work and to work several projects simultaneously while managing time and priorities
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
  • Demonstrated communication skills (technical writing, presentation, customer, and supplier interaction, etc.)

Salary Range: $140k - $160k

The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.

The candidate must be able to multi-task, while supporting technology development programs, along with the rigorous processes & procedures associated with the manufacture of production hardware.
